ASTRA 24K

A two-component, water-clear, unsaturated polyester adhesive specifically developed for repairing, filling, bonding, laminating and seaming marble, engineered stone and natural stone surfaces. Its crystal-clear formulation provides an almost invisible seam, making it ideal for applications where maximum transparency and colour matching are required. The adhesive cures to a water-clear finish, making it particularly suitable for light-coloured and translucent materials such as Thassos marble, Carrara marble, onyx and for filling open pores in travertine where a glass-like appearance is desired. Formulated for excellent colour stability and reduced yellowing over time, the cured adhesive develops a strong, durable bond with good resistance to water, mineral oils, alkaline solutions and many common solvents. Suitable for both workshop fabrication and repair applications. Available in solid (knife-grade) formulation. Cured with liquid hardener (MEKP) 2%.

Method of use :
ALWAYS TEST PRODUCT FIRST following the below indications, before proceeding with the complete product application. Ensure that surfaces to be treated are completely dry and clean, free of dirt, dust, grime and surface incrustations.
Manual application:
1. Add to the part A, 1-2% of the part B hardener (100 parts of A: 2 parts of B) and mix thoroughly so to obtain a homogene ous mass.
2. If colouring the adhesive with POLYBEL polyester colour paste, first add the required amount of colour to Part A and mix thoroughly before adding the hardener.
3. Apply to area using a spatula, apply evenly product to the substrate to glue or fill.
4. Do not apply under temperatures of 15°C
5. After 2 to 4 hours, product can be handled.
6. Tools can be cleaned using Acetone solvent.
Notes: Water clear products will only harden with liquid hardener (MEKP). Maintain product in its original container/packaging. at 20°C is 3 – 15 minutes. Maintain product in its original container/packaging.
