POLYESTER ADHESIVE FOR WHITE CRYSTALLINE BASED MARBLES.
THASSOS
Two-component unsaturated polyester mastic adhesive specifically formulated for bonding, filling, and repairing white crystalline based marbles such as: Thassos, Makrana, Sivec, Bianco Lasa and Bianco Carrara. The easy-to-mix formulation offers excellent workability and smooth application, ensuring strong adhesion to the stone while effectively filling pores, cavities, chips, and surface imperfections. Once catalysed, the product cures rapidly to form a durable bond that can be easily sanded, machined, and polished to achieve a seamless finish. Its advanced formulation, ensures increased UV resistance supplying higher stability over time. The cured adhesive provides good resistance to water, oils, greases, detergents, and common household solvents. Available in Solid (knife-grade) formulation.
Method of use :
ALWAYS TEST PRODUCT FIRST following the below indications, before proceeding with complete product application. Ensure that surfaces to be treated are completely dry and clean, free of dirt, dust, grime and surface incrustations. Manual application: 1. Add 2% Part B liquid hardener to Part A (mixing ratio 100:2 by weight) and mix thoroughly until a smooth, homogeneous paste is obtained. 2. Apply the mixed adhesive using a spatula, ensuring even coverage of the surfaces to be bonded or repaired. Press the parts together firmly or fill the cavities as required. 3. Allow the product to cure completely before sanding, machining, or polishing (approximately after 2 hours). Curing time may vary depending on ambient temperature, the amount of hardener used, and the volume of the mixed product. Notes: Adhesive and surface can be polished after 2 hours. Do not add more than 2% of pigment to avoid to compromise the adhesive strength. Maintain product in its original container/packaging. Clean tools using Acetone.
